Fraser Island, Queensland

Drive along the 75mile beach, the most amazing beach highway
where road rules apply.
The speed limit is 80mk/hr and you must give way to aeroplanes
taking off or landing.

Eli creek is the largest freshwater creek on the East coast of Fraser
Island.
Its fast-flowing clear waters make it a popular swimming stop.
The name Eli comes from Aboriginal eeli which means sand crab.

Eighty megalitres of freshwater per day flow into the sea from Eli
creek.
