Australia Wildlife Tours
- Carrowong Fauna Sanctuary

Description:
Cairns, Queensland boasts two famous World Heritage Areas, The Great Barrier Reef for diving, giant clams, whales etc., and the Wet Tropical Rainforest for its spectacular wildlife and biodiversity, including our endangered cassowary, tree kangaroos, gliders and possums. You can now enjoy both in one day. Over 90% of Australian wildlife is nocturnal, so the best time to view our native inhabitants in their natural environment is at night

Our original wildlife tours continue to lead the way in rainforest ecotourism.
Carrowong's Wildlife Mountain Safari concentrates on the rare and endangered mammals of the night and A Night in the Rainforest, our nocturnal spotlighting walk, reveals the great biodiversity of these ancient rainforests.

All tours are led by local wildlife specialists. A very different experience compared to the mass tour market. Our tours tend to transform guests into strong advocates for environmental protection.

An educational and entertaining experience is guaranteed.

Carrowong Fauna Sanctuary is privately funded, locally owned and dedicated to the rehabilitation and conservation of native rainforest wildlife. We know the rainforest, it's where we live, and our original wildlife tours continue to lead the way in rainforest ecotourism. All tours are led by local wildlife specialists.
